This is from yesterday. I was out on the road for a walk yesterday morning. As I was walking, I was just thinking about my days at work. I was with my pet for his daily walk, he suddenly rushed to a small puppy which grab his attention over street light.
We both saw a Puppy which was looking in great dis-stress because something was looking wrong with his legs. I thought someone has tied his both legs with brown cello tape. But Upon checking I realized his legs was not supporting itself and was laid.
I saw He was very young Golden Retriever. He was trying to step up from roadside to walking street side, but he could not. we started walking few steps and GR started to Follow Us by Crawling as much as he can. It was looking like he seemed me to save him.
Upon detailed checking, it seems like someone rolled cars upon his legs, and his hind legs were crushed in the unfortunate accident. I immediately bought a water bottle and poured it directly into his mouth. We rushed to the house immediately and packed whatever food I could find. We again rushed back to the same spot. I took it into a corner and started feeding him. He ate like a machine, and after finishing, his face was relieved, and ours too.
And we decided to help him with treatment, I tried to pick it him Up to the car, but the retriever kept dodging in terror. Maybe the terror was for the sheer pain in the Leg. I called a near passerby and we both took it to the Car Seat.
When I caught him he was very screaming and suffering he was very scared of me then I picked him up carefully and I kept him in a cage and he was well rescued and he became very calm after that. Then I put him in the cage and now the next step was to take him to the hospital.
When I rescued him, the next step was to take him to the hospital, but after coming to New City, I had no idea what would be the best pet care hospital nearby, then I searched online on google etc. which could be the nearest hospital from us.
Then I called the doctor and explained this and told him the condition of the dog, after that he could not understand the condition properly on the phone, so I made a video call to him and explained him properly in the video call. After seeing it in the video call, the doctor told me that His condition was very serious, you need to admit him as soon as possible. After hearing this, without wasting any time, I took him directly to the hospital and started the process to start his treatment there.
The environment there was not very friendly for the puppy, so he was looking a little lost at first, But the Friendly nature of the doctor took care of it and Decided to give some Medicine with the Flavored Water.
After that Medicine which was also hard for us to give because of sheer pain and the reluctant nature of the Hospital. We decided to Leave the puppy into the Bed at the Ward for that night. Upon the Next Morning Doctor called us for the Necessary X-ray Report, After receiving the X-ray Doctor Concluded that he had thoracic vertebra in the Hind which was the result of his weakness and Inability to Move.
During this treatment he gave many reports. As soon as the report came, it came to know that most of all the report indicated that the condition of this puppy was not good at all. It is very sad to see such a fragile and young age puppy and on top of that, how can such a disabled person live on the road. the dragging of his leg caused ulceration and doctor applied powder. we took several other report and doctor told that it’s condition is not looking very optimistic.
After the report came, the doctor called me and the doctor had done an X-ray of his whole body, so I had a meeting with the doctor for half an hour and during that time he explained to me completely about his puppy, he explained to me in the X-ray of his heart where he was injured. How can it get better, how much can it get better, how many times can it take, what is the best option, after discussing all this, the doctor finally told me that it is best to undergo neurology surgery and even after doing all this, Chances of recovery are only 10 to 20 percent today.
Will it run well?
I asked this question to the doctor, after which the doctor explained to me that after the surgery, his posture will change a little due to which his ability to walk may decrease a little and due to the posture, he may not walk properly.
Finally after discussing all this the doctor decided for me and I to do the surgery then the doctor told me that after this surgery we will give medicine to this little puppy so we will know if he still gets pan or not.
So after agreeing to the operation, the doctor told me that next day morning we have to give him empty medicine and he has to come hungry in the morning, he doesn’t have to eat anything and then he will shave his whole back for the surgery, he will clean it for that. Her hair will not be a hindrance to the surgery and then he will do the whole operation including making her incisions and straightening her then stitching her up and keeping her in the hospital for ten days.
Normally it takes ten days to open the stitches Yes but for this small young puppy he will use the height technique so he won’t need stitches and the doctor told me that tomorrow he will give the puppy anesthesia so that his back will be wrong so he won’t have much pain and just like that She is very young so her heart beat and blood pressure are normal but there is no guarantee that it can change after giving anesthesia.
After explaining this, the date was fixed for his surgery tomorrow and the surgery started in the next morning and the surgery lasted for six to seven hours, after which the doctor came out of the operation theater and told me that the operation was completed very well and during the operation he did not have any pain. There was no pain and he remained very firm and strong at a young age but as time went on the effect of the anesthesia wore off and then he slowly started screaming.
After the surgery, the little kitten was starving all day from nine o’clock to eight o’clock in the evening, and because of his hunger, he licked his tongue and was very nervous. And I am very surprised to see such tenacity at such a young age that he quickly devoured his dinner due to hunger.
Then I left and then I came back five days later the puppy seemed a little better and recognized me and started playing with me I hope such a small puppy gets well soon and He could walk on his feet.
Days went by and it was 10 to 12 days of seeing and seeing. Then I went to see the pappy and he was getting better and as the doctor said his back was slowly recovering and his staff was very gentle with him and his legs were slowly recovering. He started getting into shape and how many good hearted people came to know about him every day. I hope this puppy gets well soon and walks on his feet soon.
